Tomorrow is the last day for the LEAP YEAR 2016 RAFFLECOPTER AUTHOR GIVEAWAY and we open it with a guest post from Author Tamie Dearen.
Before we get to it, I want to take a moment to remind you to check out our original blog post regarding the contest and encourage you to enter for one of 19 great prizes!
And now without further ado – Author Tamie Dearen and her “Best Girls” series of books.
Life has lost a sense of challenge for billionaire Steven Gherring, but he’s about to meet his match in a surprising package.
This free novella is a prequel and adjunct for Her Best Match, fun to read before or after the novel. It is a short look inside the head of Steven Gherring, who likes to control everything in his life. But just when he thinks nothing could ever surprise him, he meets Anne Best. His response to her surprises even himself! This is a quick read with sassy characters, providing an introduction to some of the main characters in Her Best Match. The book includes the first chapter of Her Best Match, as a preview.
Feisty, stubborn, and bored with life in Texas, Anne Best is about to get more than she bargained for.
The lovely widow heads off to the Big Apple for a job interview, expecting no more than a few days adventure in New York City, only to find herself with a new job working for the most infuriating man she’s ever met.
Billionaire Steven Gherring is one of New York’s Most Eligible Bachelors, and he has every intention of staying that way. But Gram has other ideas. She’s on a not-so-secret campaign to find a wife for her grandson.
As fearless as she is clumsy, Anne tackles every challenge (including her new boss) enthusiastically, with two lone exceptions… public speaking and recognizing her own feelings. Passions rise along with hemlines as Gram joins forces with Anne, a veteran matchmaker, to find the perfect match for Steven.
A new job. A new city. The same old problem. . . A man who won’t take “no” for an answer!
Emily Best went to work for her stepfather, and now she’s on a mission to prove she’s the right woman for the job. There’s no time for romance in her life. Not now, and especially not with a player like Spencer.
Spencer Marshall has the reputation of a player, even though he’s yet to kiss a girl. But his pride won’t let him admit the truth, even when his “reputation” stands between him and the girl of his dreams. Emily Best.
When unexpected attention comes calling, the resulting love triangle could kill any chances of Spencer winning Emily’s love.
Note from Author: Though each book in the Best Girls Series stands alone and can easily be read out of order, I highly recommend reading Best Dating Rules before Best Laid Plans to avoid spoilers.
Once a player, always a player? “Not so,” insists Charlie’s stepdad, a former player himself.
Living in Colorado, Charlotte “Charlie” Best has denied having any feelings for Josh–a self-proclaimed reformed player–for the past two years. But seeing him again, now she’s moved to New York City, forces her to admit the truth. She’s in love with him. Too bad he’s about to marry her friend, Olivia.
Will he ever get a break? Josh Branson has spent the last two years working to be the kind of man Charlie deserves. Now she’s in town but instead of taking his time to win her over, he needs to get married as soon as possible. Surely his good friend Olivia will help him out.
Schemes fall apart as too many matchmakers–Charlie included–work at cross-purposes to bring Josh together with the woman they think he loves.
Will this holiday season be a disaster? Or will it be the Best Christmas ever?
Facing a roomful of first-graders every day is easy for Grace, but the idea of falling in love terrifies her…
Grace Marshall believes in the power of love–for everyone but herself. When Brad’s kisses make her knees weak, along with her self-control, she breaks it off. It was the right thing to do… So why does she feel so miserable?
Doctor Brad Gates is in love with Grace, has been since she first winked at him shortly after they met. The little dynamo is cute and fun and really loves life… but she’s skittish where love’s concerned. And it’s driving him a little bit crazy.
Getting back together while avoiding the “L” word is a lot harder than Grace imagined… especially when Brad starts dating another doctor from work.
Tamie Dearen has been married to her very romantic husband since 1982. They have two beautiful daughters, two amazing son-in-laws, and one awesome grandson. She plays piano, flute, harmonica, keyboards, and guitar, and loves composing and art. And she hates housework. A dentist in private practice for thirty years, Tamie stays busy playing on her church’s praise team and teaching graduate students each week. In her spare time, she escapes the real world by writing books.
Tamie met her husband as a freshman in college when she acted out of character on a whim. One night in the library lobby, she spied a cute guy with his first name written on the back of his shirt. She called out his name. When he approached to talk to her, she pretended that she’d met him before, asking about his classes and how he liked college. To her surprise and delight, he also pretended that he knew her, but of course he didn’t know her name. They continued this false relationship for two months. Each time they saw each other, an event which occurred three times per week at the cafeteria, he would pretend he knew her. Meanwhile, all of Tamie’s friends were careful not to reveal her name to him. When he finally admitted his ignorance of her name, he was astonished to learn the truth. And the rest is history.
