GUEST BLOG POST from Author Tamie Dearen on the LEAP YEAR 2016 – RAFFLECOPTER AUTHOR GIVEAWAY

Tomorrow is the last day for the LEAP YEAR 2016 RAFFLECOPTER‬ ‪AUTHOR‬ GIVEAWAY‬ and we open it with a guest post from Author Tamie Dearen.

Before we get to it, I want to take a moment to remind you to check out our original blog post regarding the contest and encourage you to enter for one of 19 great prizes!

And now without further ado – Author Tamie Dearen and her “Best Girls” series of books.

The Best Girls Series – five books in total – by Tamie Dearen

The Best Is Yet to Come: Novella Bonus for Her Best Match (The Best Girls Book 0)

Best 0
Life has lost a sense of challenge for billionaire Steven Gherring, but he’s about to meet his match in a surprising package.

This free novella is a prequel and adjunct for Her Best Match, fun to read before or after the novel. It is a short look inside the head of Steven Gherring, who likes to control everything in his life. But just when he thinks nothing could ever surprise him, he meets Anne Best. His response to her surprises even himself! This is a quick read with sassy characters, providing an introduction to some of the main characters in Her Best Match. The book includes the first chapter of Her Best Match, as a preview.

Her Best Match: A Romantic Comedy (The Best Girls Book 1)

best 1

Feisty, stubborn, and bored with life in Texas, Anne Best is about to get more than she bargained for.

The lovely widow heads off to the Big Apple for a job interview, expecting no more than a few days adventure in New York City, only to find herself with a new job working for the most infuriating man she’s ever met.

Billionaire Steven Gherring is one of New York’s Most Eligible Bachelors, and he has every intention of staying that way. But Gram has other ideas. She’s on a not-so-secret campaign to find a wife for her grandson.

As fearless as she is clumsy, Anne tackles every challenge (including her new boss) enthusiastically, with two lone exceptions… public speaking and recognizing her own feelings. Passions rise along with hemlines as Gram joins forces with Anne, a veteran matchmaker, to find the perfect match for Steven.

Best Dating Rules: A Romantic Comedy (The Best Girls Book 2)

best 2

A new job. A new city. The same old problem. . . A man who won’t take “no” for an answer!

Emily Best went to work for her stepfather, and now she’s on a mission to prove she’s the right woman for the job. There’s no time for romance in her life. Not now, and especially not with a player like Spencer.

Spencer Marshall has the reputation of a player, even though he’s yet to kiss a girl. But his pride won’t let him admit the truth, even when his “reputation” stands between him and the girl of his dreams. Emily Best.

When unexpected attention comes calling, the resulting love triangle could kill any chances of Spencer winning Emily’s love.

Note from Author: Though each book in the Best Girls Series stands alone and can easily be read out of order, I highly recommend reading Best Dating Rules before Best Laid Plans to avoid spoilers.

Best Laid Plans: A Romantic Comedy (The Best Girls Book 3)

best 3

Once a player, always a player? “Not so,” insists Charlie’s stepdad, a former player himself.

Living in Colorado, Charlotte “Charlie” Best has denied having any feelings for Josh–a self-proclaimed reformed player–for the past two years. But seeing him again, now she’s moved to New York City, forces her to admit the truth. She’s in love with him. Too bad he’s about to marry her friend, Olivia.

Will he ever get a break? Josh Branson has spent the last two years working to be the kind of man Charlie deserves. Now she’s in town but instead of taking his time to win her over, he needs to get married as soon as possible. Surely his good friend Olivia will help him out.

Schemes fall apart as too many matchmakers–Charlie included–work at cross-purposes to bring Josh together with the woman they think he loves.

Will this holiday season be a disaster? Or will it be the Best Christmas ever?

Best Foot Forward: A Romantic Comedy (The Best Girls Book 4)

Best 4 Facing a roomful of first-graders every day is easy for Grace, but the idea of falling in love terrifies her…

Grace Marshall believes in the power of love–for everyone but herself. When Brad’s kisses make her knees weak, along with her self-control, she breaks it off. It was the right thing to do… So why does she feel so miserable?

Doctor Brad Gates is in love with Grace, has been since she first winked at him shortly after they met. The little dynamo is cute and fun and really loves life… but she’s skittish where love’s concerned. And it’s driving him a little bit crazy.

Getting back together while avoiding the “L” word is a lot harder than Grace imagined… especially when Brad starts dating another doctor from work.

About Tamie Dearen

Tamie2
Tamie Dearen has been married to her very romantic husband since 1982. They have two beautiful daughters, two amazing son-in-laws, and one awesome grandson. She plays piano, flute, harmonica, keyboards, and guitar, and loves composing and art. And she hates housework. A dentist in private practice for thirty years, Tamie stays busy playing on her church’s praise team and teaching graduate students each week. In her spare time, she escapes the real world by writing books.

Tamie met her husband as a freshman in college when she acted out of character on a whim. One night in the library lobby, she spied a cute guy with his first name written on the back of his shirt. She called out his name. When he approached to talk to her, she pretended that she’d met him before, asking about his classes and how he liked college. To her surprise and delight, he also pretended that he knew her, but of course he didn’t know her name. They continued this false relationship for two months. Each time they saw each other, an event which occurred three times per week at the cafeteria, he would pretend he knew her. Meanwhile, all of Tamie’s friends were careful not to reveal her name to him. When he finally admitted his ignorance of her name, he was astonished to learn the truth. And the rest is history.

About C. M. Krishack

She was born in Cameroon and raised in the DMV in a family of five children. As a child she dreamed of being famous, helping children overcome adversity and marrying prince charming. She also wanted to travel the world and stay at exotic resorts while being waited on hand and foot.

Instead, she grew up and became a Quality Engineer for various fortune 500 IT companies and a full-time mother to her seven year old precocious son Mason. She is married to her real life prince charming, Stephan, and has written several children’s books that deal with overcoming adversity.

These days she is very busy with being busy as she pursues her career as an author. She writes faith based children’s stories with themes that include bullying, self-esteem, courage, multicultural and self-worth to name a few. Her characters, although fiction, encounter real life issues that are relatable to children of all ages.

She has written four children’s books and one poetry book. Her poem Cancer, received national recognition in the National Amateur Poetry Contest and will be featured in a poetry book titled ‘Where The Mind Dwells’ an anthology of selected works by some of today’s finest amateur poets published by Eber & Wein Publishing and available worldwide.

Her genres range from children’s literature, poetry, and adventure stories. Her latest titles include Alexander, What are You?, for children and Life Poetry, the first in a three volume series, an inspirational poetry book about love, life and faith.

Oh, and that dream of being famous and traveling the world while being waited on hand and foot … She is still working on that!

From her Amazon.com page: Life Poetry

LifeLife Poetry is a compilation of emotions that I have experienced throughout my life. Most of the poems in this book represent my journey from overcoming the scars of my past, to learning to love myself, and to eventually finding love in my husband and my son.

I have experienced all of these emotions, from pain to joy. These poems run the gamut from simple observations to recollections of experiences that affected my life profoundly. I have learned, suffered, and grown from these experiences and have been healed in the process. This journey has taught me that life is to be experienced in all its ups and downs. My hope is that whoever reads these poems will be changed in some way. Thank you, and may God bless the readers of this book.

GUEST BLOG POST from Author Mike Walters on the LEAP YEAR 2016 – RAFFLECOPTER AUTHOR GIVEAWAY

Hey gang –  only four more days of the LEAP YEAR 2016 RAFFLECOPTER‬ ‪AUTHOR‬ GIVEAWAY‬ and we open it with a guest post from Author Mike Walters.

Before we get to it, I want to take a moment to remind you to check out our original blog post regarding the contest and encourage you to enter for one of 19 great prizes!

And now without further ado – Author Mike Walters!

From his Amazon.com bio:

Mike

Mike Walters and his debut novel, The Outlaw River Wilde, sprung from an idea while watching Ancient Aliens on the History channel. He intertwines his love of Native American culture and a passion for the Pacific Northwest, primarily his birth state of Oregon. Mike sat down one day and started writing. The characters and story were revealed each and every day he wrote.

“Every session was as if I were reading something new myself for the first time. It was a blast seeing what would happen next. This is why I enjoyed writing this novel so much. ”

Mike is a Director of Marketing & Product at Auto-Graphics, Inc. based in Ontario, CA. That’s California, not Canada. A-G makes software for Libraries, primarily public. So on your visit to the library, when you sit down to search for a book this is the software that A-G makes.

“I am very fortunate to work in an industry that has a meaningful impact on society. It makes going to work each and every day enjoyable. I mean who doesn’t think we need, and who doesn’t love, libraries?”

Mike learned photography as a freshman in high school and later took the passion and used it as a photographer in the United States Air Force. He loves to ride bicycles in SoCal year around, volunteers in Los Angeles at the Westside German Shepherd Rescue taking photos of the beautiful dogs, and has a passion for Micro-brews, particularly Porters and Stouts. You will frequently find him sampling, with his son Alexander, at Claremont Craft Ales, a personal favorite — or one of the many fine breweries in and around Claremont, CA. Mike is currently at work on the follow up to The Outlaw River Wilde, which will be titled – Still Wilde in the Outlaw River. The book should be out later this year or early 2016.

The Outlaw River Wilde: Sometimes a Man Needs to Journal (The Outlaw River Wilde Series Book 1)

Outlaw

Synopsis from Amazon:

The Pacific Northwest is Under Attack. Mitch Wilde never believed in aliens that is, until he was left with no other way to explain the strange events happening around his small Pacific Northwest home. With scattered appearances of ghostly Native American riders, a series of odd break-ins by unknown intruders, and hints that more could be coming, Mitch, along with his cantankerous old neighbor who is quickly becoming a new friend vows to unravel the mysteries and preserve the comfortable life he has worked so hard to build.
When an unexplained attack leaves his long-time best friend acting quite unlike himself, Mitch knows he has to act fast or risk losing everything. The only question is: Does he have what it takes to conquer the mysterious, potentially powerful force once and for all?

˃˃˃ Ancient Alien IntrigueLong-time Pacific Northwest resident Mike Walters found his first love in dogs, and then quickly followed up with photography, bicycling, globetrotting, and library software development. He would finally find his true calling at the tender age of 45 while settling in to watch a program on the History channel. It was then that the concept for his debut novel, The Outlaw River Wilde was born. “What if we’re not alone in the universe?” he asks of readers who dare to venture into his Science Fiction Thriller world. “And what if our forgotten past was the link to our probable future?” Mike intertwines his love of Native American culture and a passion for the Pacific Northwest setting that he called home as a child in his original tale of intrigue and adventure guaranteed to keep readers guessing until the very last page. Of course, he continues to honor his first love of dogs by donating 10% of all proceeds to the Westside German Shepherd Rescue in Los Angeles where he also volunteers as a photographer.

To Sunday O’Neil, the white-picket fence scenario, the American dream, was how she planned her life , until she opened the gate of that secure fence and walked through it.

Growing up in the late 1960s watching the lovely weekly TV series, “Father Knows Best, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and The Donna Reed Show” all affirmed her expectations. Sunday O’Neil’s parents and relatives also avowed her beliefs. They all had wonderful secure homes with children and a happy healthy environment.
